Our Experience

What did we enjoy most working on this task?

Helene: I enjoyed looking at some of the artefacts in the museum. Walking along the Singapore River with my friends and schoolmates who were also there was enjoyable as well.
Kim: It was enjoyable time as I get to revisit the places along Singapore River with my friends. It was a great opportunities to meet up with my peers during the holidays too.
Norul: I enjoyed walking along the Singapore River because it's not very often that I go to this part of town, and I was glad to do so with my group members because I have not seen any of my classmates in the March holiday week.

What were some challenges we faced?

Helene: We were not sure of where to go, and since we were in a big group, we had many different ideas on where to go. We also could not find the bridges that we were supposed to be at at first. We managed to overcome the problem by relying on some maps that other groups had and we also relied on others who were more sure of where they were walking and asking directions from other groups who had already finished the task.
Kim: We were not sure of what we are supposed to do as we had not went through the instructions thoroughly as we are in a rush to get to the destination in the morning. To overcome the problem we had, we did our tasks with other groups so that we can enquired them about the tasks and the direction.  In this way we could also look out for one another.
Norul: Our group had problems with directions and what were supposed to do for the Integrated Humanities task because we weren't really prepared before we went to the Singapore River. We managed to overcome it by working with other groups and asking for directions.

What is ONE area that our group could have done better if given the opportunity to do it again?

Helene: I think we should have met earlier, so that there would be more time to finish the task properly, as I had to leave at 12 sharp. Also, a bit of preparation before the trip would have been good, as that way, we would not have gotten lost.
Kim: I feel that if more preparation was done before the trip, we will be more effective and more aware of what to do. We could actually sit down before we start walking along the river to discuss about what we need to do even though Helene has to leave at twelve'o clock as we will not have wasted time on finding our way after we got lost.
Norul: One area our group could have done better is probably preparation before the trip. We were unprepared and it affected the trip, as we were unsure of what to do and where to go.
